Keep your camera angle disciplined and avoid feeding it eye contact or extra attention.
Behavior notes
This is a classic sanity tax: it is not a conventional combat duel, but it punishes players who panic, over-check, or look up at the wrong time.
Encounter context
Enemies become much deadlier when you are already juggling sanity, room routing, and event timers. Good play is usually about composure, not just reaction speed.
Naming note
Community guides do not always use exactly the same label for this threat. This page follows Mass of Eyes, while also noting the alternate phrasing: Sometimes grouped with “Don’t Look Up” style hazards.
What to watch for
